VeinInnovations makes it easy and affordable for you to have Great Legs for Life… whether you are concerned about symptoms including leg pain, heaviness, fatigue, and restlessness, or if you just want to improve the appearance of your legs

VeinInnovations is the first comprehensive vein clinic in the Atlanta area to offer start-to-finish diagnosis and treatment for venous disease. Our primary goal is to provide you with a proper diagnosis, offer you customized treatment options, and improve the overall health of your leg veins. Most treatments are virtually pain free with patients resuming their normal physical activities the same day.

TAKE THE FIRST STEP WITH A CORRECT DIAGNOSIS

Do your legs ache, feel heavy, tired, or have other symptoms like restless legs, especially at the end of the day? Then call VeinInnovations for a New Patient Consultation. At VeinInnovations, our experience, innovative approach, and state-of-the-art equipment enables you to find out exactly what your condition is in only one hour. You will receive a complete medical assessment by one of our skilled physicians, including an extensive diagnostic ultrasound performed by a registered vascular technologist. This examination is a safe, painless, and effective way to accurately determine the presence of Venous Reflux Disease and is required by your insurer to determine coverage eligibility.

Are you tired of feeling self-conscious or embarrassed by the presence of unattractive veins on your legs? VeinInnovations offers a COMPLIMENTARY, 30 minute limited ultrasound and consultation with either a physician or sclerotherapy nurse. You can get all your questions answered and, depending on the ultrasound and consultation, a treatment plan will be developed at that time.

Did you know over 90% of all treatments are covered completely or in part by insurance? VEININNOVATIONS® accepts almost all major medical insurance plans to help provide you with cost-effective and affordable services.

WHAT IS VENOUS REFLUX DISEASE?

Vein Valve Blood Flow Diagram Venous Reflux Disease, also known as Chronic Venous Insufficiency, is a medical condition that affects, predominantly, the lower extremities (thighs, legs, ankles and feet).

Veins contain valves which, when healthy, prevent gravity from pulling blood backward. Many factors, including heredity, pregnancy, excessive standing, weight gain and age, or a sedentary lifestyle, may cause these valves to malfunction resulting in increased pressure in the veins. This pressure may cause blood to “reflux’ leading to spider veins and varicose veins which may or may not be accompanied by a sense of heaviness, fatigue, or restless legs.

Approximately 25 million Americans suffer from vein disease, which can range from small, thin purple lines just underneath the skin (Spider veins) often mistaken as a cosmetic problem, to thick bulging veins that protrude beyond the skin surface (Varicose veins). If left untreated they can cause severe circulatory problems and ulcerations. In America, it is estimated that 72% of women and 42% of men will develop Chronic Venous Insufficiency by the age of 60.

The most common signs/symptoms are:

  • Leg pain, aching, tired or weak legs, especially after long periods of standing or sitting.
  • Restless legs.
  • The physical presence of varicose veins.
  • Burning or itching of the skin.
  • Swollen legs and/or swollen ankles (edema).
  • Changes in the color and texture of the skin.
  • Open wounds.

TREATMENT OPTIONS

VeinInnovations offers the most comprehensive, state-of-the-art treatment methods available for venous disease. Your treatment plan will be tailored to you, depending on your specific condition and goals. All treatments are done at our office locations under local anesthesia. They are highly effective, and post-op discomfort is minimal. Treatment approaches include:

ClosureFast, Formerly VNUS Closure (radio-frequency ablation of the greater saphenous vein), takes the place of surgical procedures such as vein stripping and high ligation that are done in the operating room. This procedure is performed in our office locations and allows for quick recovery – most patients return to normal activities within one day. A radio-frequency electrode is introduced to the problem vein through a small insertion site. After local anesthesia is administered, the vein is heated from the inside and closed, thereby correcting blood flow. Data reveals a ClosureFast success rate of up to 90%.

EVLA (Endo-venous Laser Ablation) is identical to ClosureFast, but uses laser energy rather than radio frequency energy to close the vein. At VeinInnovations we exclusively use the Biolitec radial laser fiber.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy is a procedure that involves the removal of varicose veins through micro incisions that are no larger than a needle puncture. This is generally a scar-free procedure with excellent functional and cosmetic results.

The treatment of smaller veins at VeinInnovations most often involves a combination of minimally invasive sclerotherapy and laser treatment.

Sclerotherapy is a treatment option that uses a micro-needle to inject a special fluid into the affected vein. The fluid causes the vein walls to become non-functional and, in most cases, disappear.

Laser Treatment may also be used to produce selective light-induced thermal therapy to small spider veins, causing them to disappear.

We also offer medical-grade compression stockings as a conservative treatment approach, and to fulfill insurance requirements.
