Dr. Caudill graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed general surgery residence training at the University of Cincinnati Hospital Group. He then was on active duty with the United States Army in Republic Viet Nam serving in the central highlands at the 13th Field Hospital Ahn Khe with the rank of major.He returned to the University of Cincinnati and completed thoracic and cardiovascular residency in 1971.Dr. Caudill initiated the cardiac surgical program at Roanoke Memorial Hospital Roanoke,Virginia. In 1973, he came to Atlanta and Georgia Baptist Medical Center and initiated the use of the intra aortic balloon in the state of Georgia. He became chief of the cardiothoracic surgery section at Georgia Baptist Medical Center 1982-1991 and then again 1996-2000.In 1990 his practice expanded to Saint Joseph’s Hospital with Atlanta Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery Associates. Dr. Caudill retired from cardiac surgery in 2006 to devote himself full time to the treatment of venous disease and opened OH2 Medical Spa in Alpharetta, Georgia. Dr. Caudill is board certified in both general and thoracic and cardiovascular surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Cardiology.

Michelle Merka is a Registered Vascular Technologist, (RVT), and joined the VeinInnovations Staff as their diagnostic sonographer in February, 2011. Michelle’s extensive healthcare background was obtained during her active duty service in the U.S. Air Force from 1986-1994. She initially was trained as a Medical Service Specialist by the USAF Comprehensive Allied Health Services Training Program in 1987, specializing in General and Vascular Surgery at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. She then cross-trained into Vascular Sonography and became the first active duty enlisted Air Force member to be credentialed as a Registered Vascular Technologist by the ARDMS in 1993. After military service, Michelle relocated to Greenville, SC in 1994 and was employed by 2 major academic healthcare institutions and 3 outpatient healthcare facilities, including the Greenville Hospital System and Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. She was active in training resident physicians, medical students, and student technologists as both a vascular sonographer and a clinical specialist. She was involved in multiple medical and clinical research trials as well as achieving successful vascular lab accreditation at 2 separate healthcare facilities. Michelle holds over 10 years of dedicated diagnostic ultrasound and clinical experience in the field venous disease, including ultrasound-guidance for treatment procedures. She continues to be an active advocate for quality patient care and education.

Jane Dinnen, RN

Jane was a Registered Nurse who joined the staff at Vein Innovations as the sclerotherapist. Jane graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Following graduation, she practiced in several disciplines including Medical-Surgical, Maternal-Child and Neonatal nursing as she accrued almost 15 years of experience. During that time she also worked for Norwich-Eaton Pharmaceutical Company as a Product Specialist. Jane took a respite from nursing when she and her husband opened an Antiques market in Roswell, Georgia where she helped manage the business. In 2009 she reentered the nursing field when she attended an internship program in Labor and Delivery at Northside Hospital here in Atlanta. Following the internship she was a Labor and Delivery nurse at Northside for three years. In 2011 Jane became a patient at VeinInnovations and was so impressed with her treatment and the staff that she became a member of the team in early 2012.

Teresa Lucas, RVT

Teresa Lucas received her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Bennett College. Teresa is a Registered Vascular Technologist, (RVT), and joined the VeinInnovations staff as a diagnostic sonographer in November 2014. Teresa’s healthcare background was obtained during her active duty service in the U.S. Army.  Teresa is a Gulf war veteran serving with the 312th Field Evacuation Hospital during Desert Storm/Desert Shield in Saudi Arabia. Teresa completed eight years in the Army serving as field medic and physical therapy assistant.  After military service, Teresa worked as research developer with MicroCoating Technologies developing thin film coatings for NASA and other companies.  After the events of 9-11-2001, Teresa decided to leave research and return to the medical field that she loved so much.  In 2003 Teresa graduated with honors from the Institute of Medical Ultrasound with a concentration in Vascular Ultrasound.  Teresa has worked for two major hospitals in the Atlanta area, Northside Hospital and Metro Vascular PC (DeKalb Hospital).  Teresa is an active member of Panola Congregation.
