Alexander Park MD, FACS graduated from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine with a combined M.D./B.A. degree in 1991 at the age of 23. He graduated with honors and was vice president of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society. He completed general surgery residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland in 1997. Since then, Dr. Park has been in private practice in the Atlanta area. Dr. Park is board certified in general surgery and is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Georgia Surgical Society, and Medical Association of Georgia among others.
Dr. Park has extensive experience in general surgery involving breast cancer, gastrointestinal surgery, laparoscopic surgery, hernia surgery, and endocrine surgery. He also performs minimally invasive office based surgical procedures for varicose vein disease including endovenous ablation for saphenous reflux disease, ambulatory phlebotomy for removal of bulging varicose veins, and sclerotherapy treatment. Dr. Alex Park and his brother, Dr. David Park, are co-owners of VeinInnovations and Park Surgical Specialists (located next door to VeinInnovations.)
Dr. Park is married and lives in Atlanta with his wife and children.
Dr. David Park received his Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Missouri -Kansas City, graduating with Honors in 1988. During medical school, he also completed a student fellowship in clinical cardiovascular research at the Mid-America Heart Institute at Saint Luke’s Hospital. His work was presented at the annual American College of Cardiology meeting in 1988. Dr. Park completed his general surgery residency training at Emory University in 1993, and continued his surgical career in private practice.
In 2006, he was one of the founding members of a large single specialty surgical practice in North Atlanta, where he practiced a wide array of general surgery procedures. He left the large group in 2018 and relocated his surgical practice, now called Park Surgical Specialists, adjacent to VeinInnovations. Over the years, Dr. Park developed a keen interest and knowledge in the treatment of venous reflux disease and varicose vein disorders. In 2013, he and his brother, Dr. Alexander Park, opened VeinInnovations of Johns Creek. He, along with his highly skilled and experienced staff, currently provides comprehensive, minimally invasive, office-based vein treatments in the Johns Creek office.
Dr. Park lives in Peachtree Corners and his hobbies include anything outdoors. He is an active member of Perimeter Church.
Lucille received her degree in Computer Science in 1975 and worked primarily in that field for the first 10 years of her career. After 10 years of managing computers she transitioned into managing and training people. She received her first supervisor position in 1985 and has continued to move upwards to develop stronger leadership roles in the medical field. Lucy has worked with large hospital systems such as Orlando Regional, MD Anderson Cancer Center (affiliates of OR), Oviedo Ambulatory Center (affiliates of OR), Kennedy Krieger Institute and The Marcus Institute to help develop, operate and manage their computer systems while training staff to work in all areas of reimbursement and revenue cycle processes. Lucille started her life career of knowledge in the medical field with Veininnovations in 2008 as the Billing Manager and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2009. In her role she is responsible for payroll, employee benefits, HR matters, HIPPA complaints, provider credentialing, medical records complaints, accounts receivables and accounts payable.
Lucy lives in Marietta and has two children and a granddaughter. She has memberships with GMGMA and NFGMA Medical Associations.
Laura Egan, RN, joined VeinInnovations in 2013, as Clinic Manager. She completed her Nursing degree from the University of South Carolina in 1974, and her Certification in Nurse-Midwifery at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1978. Obstetrics was her primary focus for 18 years. She practiced Office-Gynecology for 9 years. After retiring from the OB-GYN field, she worked as Manager of the Pain Center and Pre-Op at Atlanta Outpatient Surgery Center for 8 years. Laura met Drs. David and Alex Park through Atlanta outpatient Surgery Center and knew of their impeccable reputation and clinical skills. She was delighted to join them as they opened VeinInnovations in Johns Creek in 2013. Laura and her husband reside in the Cumming area. She enjoys golf, skiing and hanging out with her family.
Ruth is the Director of Marketing & Business Development for VeinInnovations. She has a heart for people and seeks opportunities to improve the lives of those she encounters. Prior to joining VeinInnovations Ruth worked in pharmaceutical sales, referral development and volunteer management. She graduated from Gardner-Webb University in 2005 with a Business Administration and Marketing degree. A majority of her spare time is spent keeping up with her young daughter and son, husband and two dogs.
Holly is a Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) and joined the VeinInnovations Johns Creek team in 2014. She initially received her B.S. degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland in 1991 and established a successful career in recruiting and human resources. With a family history of vascular disease, Holly decided to change her career path in 2012 and return to school fulltime to fulfill her long-time dream of working in Ultrasonography. She earned her Certification in Echocardiography in 2014 from Cambridge Institute of Health and Allied Medicine and is also a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS). Holly has been a patient as well having undergone 4 successful radiofrequency closures and several ambulatory phlebectomies. Holly enjoys hot yoga, cooking and creating healthy recipes, and holistic healing.
Ashley joined the team as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) at the Johns Creek location. She graduated from Georgia Northwestern Technical College in 2011. Following graduation she worked for a Vascular Surgeon group performing various types of vascular ultrasounds before joining our team. Before going into ultrasound Ashley worked in the dental field managing and doing administrative work for several years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two sons and husband, being outside and taking vacations.
Wanda joined the VeinInnovations team in 2013 as a Medical Assistant. She trained at St. Therese Medical Center in Illinois. Since relocating to Atlanta, she's worked at St. Joseph's Hospital and the pain management center at Atlanta Outpatient Surgery Center. Wanda feels called to serve others and looks forward to demonstrating that day to day in our office by helping patients feel relaxed and comfortable. Wanda has a twin brother and a set of twin sisters, along with two wonderful children and a beautiful granddaughter. She loves taking walks in the park, reading, going to church and spending time with friends and family.
Taylor joined the VeinInnovations team in July 2019 as a Medical Assistant. She is a graduate of North Georgia Nursing Academy and previously worked in a domestic violence center as a child advocate. Taylor likes to go hiking and loves to travel.
Stephanie is a Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) and has an Associates Degree in Health Sciences. She has 17 years of experience as a surgical technician in New York, California and now Atlanta. Prior to joining VeinInnovations in May 2016, Stephanie worked as a surgical cath lab technician at Northside and Gwinnett Medical Center. Stephanie has two daughters and spends her spare time involved in their cheerleading, dance and gymnastic activities.
Ashalena joined VeinInnovations in 2013. She received her degree in Business Administration and Fashion Merchandising from Bauder College. After working in the fashion industry for several years and achieving her goal to open a women’s clothing store, she turned her sights towards the healthcare industry. Ashalena began her career in the healthcare industry as an office coordinator at Orlando Regional Healthcare before moving to Atlanta in 2000. She has held administrative and office manager roles at 3 major health care organizations – The Marcus Institute, Child Neurology Associates and now VeinInnovations. Ashalena’s favorite part of her job is hearing patient success stories. As a patient herself, she can attest to the difference varicose vein treatment has made to her quality of life. When she's not working, Ashalena spend her time shopping for antiques and baking cake pops and macaroons with her daughter.
Trienna joined VeinInnovations in June 2018 as a Precertification Coordinator. She attended Oglethorpe University and received her BA degree in Social Work with a concentration in Sociology and Psychology. Before joining VeinInnovations, Trienna worked with several major healthcare organizations such as Cigna, HCA, Peachstate and United Healthcare. Trienna has worked in the medical field for 18 years and enjoys being a knowledgeable resource to patients and other healthcare administrators and continually improving the quality of care each patient receives. In her spare time Trienna enjoys traveling, shopping and spending quality time with her husband and daughter.
